 What is the SpotGifting program?

SpotGifting program is a digital solution for disbursing gift amount via prepaid Gift Card. A prepaid Gift Card is a financial instrument which can be preloaded with a designated amount in rupees for subsequent use as per cardholder’s requirement. You will receive this gift amount in your Zeta account and the amount can be spent via the Gift Card or the Zeta App. With the Gift Card, you can make payments across all stores and websites to purchase items. This programme’s policy is administered and governed by the issuer.

 Why is the Gift Card given to me?

A Gift Card is sent to you by the purchaser to help you spend your gift money for the purchase of items of your choice from a store/website as per your convenience.

 Is my prepaid Gift Card reloadable?

No. Gift Cards are non-reloadable.

 Can I request for bank transfer, cash out or refund of available balance in my card?

No, it is not permitted as per regulatory guidelines.

 Do I need to use the entire money at one go or can I make multiple purchases?

You can use your Gift Card the way you want - either opt for multiple purchases or use it at one go.

 Can I club other cards with my SpotGifting Card to make purchases?

No, you cannot club SpotGifting Card with other cards.

 Can I top up my SpotGifting Card?

No, the value is preset and cannot be topped up.

 What alerts will I receive?

You will receive an SMS alert, a transaction email on your registered email ID, and an Inbox notification on your Zeta App.

 Can I get information on how to use Zeta App?

Yes. You can download the Zeta App via the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS). For more information, see Getting Started. For assistance, please contact HDFC support.

 What if one of the posted transactions on my account is not legitimate at merchant location?

 Are there any charges on Digital Gift Cards or Brand Vouchers?

No, there are no charges on Digital Gift Cards or Brand Vouchers. In fact, we offer exciting discounts on Brand Voucher orders.

 What does the "View Email Preview" show?

The View Email Preview option displays the sample activation email sent to the recipient to claim the gift card.

 Can I customize the activation email sent to the recipient?

No, the activation email is not customizable.

 How do I set PIN for my Gift Cards?
  • Physical Gift Card: The PIN can be set during the claim process after clicking on the activation email. See Set your Physical Gift Card PIN.

  • Digital Gift Card: No need to set PIN. Use the dynamically generated Super PIN provided on Zeta App.

 How can I cancel my order?

Gift orders, once sent, cannot be canceled.

 My money was deducted but I cannot see the Gift Card order in my order history.

Such cases are rare. The money will be automatically reverted to your account in 5-7 business days. However, if you encounter any such issues, kindly contact the HDFC support team and we will help you with your query.

Issuance Limits

 How many people can I send gifts to?

You can send gifts to a maximum of 25 recipients in a single order. In the case of more recipients, you will have to create a separate order.

 Does the beneficiary need to be KYCed for receiving the gift?

No, the recipient doesn’t need to be KYCed for receiving the gift. However, the issuer needs to be KYCed for sending the gift to someone.

 What is the limit set on gift amount?

The issuer can gift a maximum amount of INR 1,00,000 in a day, spread across single or multiple beneficiaries. The maximum value of per prepaid gift instrument shall not exceed INR 10,000.

 What are the charges on SpotGifting Card?

The following charges are applicable on SpotGifting Cards:

 What is the validity of my Gift Card?

The validity of your card is mentioned on the face of the card, under the Expiry field. 

Physical Gift Cards

 Can I send Physical Gift Cards to multiple addresses?

No. For each order, you can send Physical Gift Cards to one address only. In case of multiple addresses, you will have to create separate orders, one for each new address.

 What are the charges for sending Physical Gift Cards?

The following charges are applicable on Physical Gift Cards:

  • Card cost: INR 50 per card

  • Shipping cost: INR 50

  • GST: 18% of card plus shipping cost

 How long does it take to deliver Physical Gift Cards?

It typically takes between 8-10 working days to deliver Physical Gift Cards to the designated address.

 I haven't received my order.

 Can I use Physical Gift Cards without signing up on Zeta?

A Zeta account gives you access to various SpotGifting features like logging into Zeta App, keeping track of gift spends, changing PIN and many more. To create a Zeta account, see Getting Started.

 I have received the Physical Gift Card, but it's not showing up on my Zeta account.

For Gift Cards to reflect in your Zeta account, follow these steps:

  1. Claim your gift using the activation email sent to you.
  2. Sign in to Zeta App or Zeta on Web using the same credentials.
 What if I lose my Gift Card?

Start by instantly blocking your card via the Zeta App. To request for a card replacement, you can raise a request via the Zeta App, or simply contact HDFC support. A new card will be chargeable to the user.

 Where can I use the Gift Card issued to me?

You can swipe your card to buy anything at all card accepting stores, websites or via popular brand stores on the Zeta App. Swipe your card at restaurants, cafes, petrol pumps, supermarkets and many more outlets.

 Can I withdraw gift amount from ATM?

No, as per regulatory policy you cannot withdraw the gift amount available in your Gift Card. 

 Can I set the PIN for my card at HDFC Bank ATM?

No, you can only use the Zeta App to set your static four-digit card PIN or you can also generate a dynamic Super PIN using the Zeta App for every new transaction.

 Can I view card balance at HDFC Bank ATM?

Yes. You can view your card balance at HDFC Bank ATM with applicable charges. You can use the Zeta App to view card balance at no added cost.

Digital Brand Vouchers

 Can Brand Vouchers be used partially?

Partial or full redemption of a Brand Voucher depends on the T&C of the respective brands.

 Where do I read the T&C of the brands?

Detailed T&Cs for the brand is mentioned in the activation email sent to you.

 What if the Brand Voucher I sent does not work?

If you are facing issues with your Brand Voucher, you can contact HDFC support.

 Can I use Digital Brand Vouchers without signing up on Zeta?

Yes, you can use Digital Brand Vouchers without creating a Zeta user account.

Digital Gift Cards

 Can I use Digital Gift Cards without signing up on Zeta?

No. Since Digital Gift Cards are virtual cards, they cannot be used without signing up on Zeta. You can create a Zeta Account by using Zeta App or SpotGifting Dashboard. See Getting Started for more information.
