 What is the Zeta Fuel & Travel Card?

The Zeta Fuel & Travel Card is a paperless and digital solution that your organisation grants for fuel and travel expenses every month. The amount loaded into the fuel card is non-taxable and can only be redeemed using the Zeta super card against actual expenses incurred by you for the fuel and conveyance cost.

 Where can I use Zeta Fuel & Travel Card?

You can use your Zeta Fuel & Travel Card to avail the various fuel and travel related allowances like fuel recharge, car hire, car maintenance or insurance, business travel or transfer cost, and daily expenditures on a business tour.

 What are the benefits of Zeta Fuel & Travel Card?
  1. Provides both online and offline payment option.
  2. Provides option of paying by any denomination.
  3. Provides a secure and effortless way to use and redeem fuel expenses to save tax.
  4. Eliminates the need for manual bill submission since it is a digital instrument.
  5. Eliminates the process of storing and procuring bills.
 How do I get Zeta Fuel & Travel card?

Your company should sign up with us and choose to offer Zeta Fuel & Travel Reimbursements as an employee tax benefit. Your Zeta Fuel & Travel Card is credited every month or as per your organisation policy, which you can access via Zeta app or Zeta on Web platform.

 Who will credit my Zeta Fuel & Travel Card?

Your employer will credit your Zeta Fuel & Travel Card during monthly payout.

 What to do if I haven't received my Zeta Fuel & Travel Card?

Ensure that your employer has updated valid phone number or email ID in the transfer order file. Visit Zeta support for more assistance.

 How much can I save in taxes?

You can save up to Rs. 11,880 per year in taxes with the Zeta Fuel & Travel Card.

 What is the limit for Zeta Fuel & Travel Card?

As per IT rule, the following reference amounts are considered as non-taxable fuel reimbursement limit:

  • Below 1.6 liters (1600CC) - Rs. 1800/- per month

  • Above 1.6 liters (1600CC) - Rs. 2400/- per month

  • Chauffeur, if any - Rs. 900/- per month

 How do I get my Zeta Fuel & Travel credits regularly?

Since your employer provides you the Zeta Fuel & Travel credits against your email ID or phone number, ensure that your email ID or phone number is verified to get the Zeta Fuel & Travel credits regularly.

 How is my Zeta Fuel & Travel credits calculated when I join a company mid-year?

You can opt for Zeta Fuel & Travel Reimbursements any time in a year, provided your company policies allow it. Your reimbursements for the period will be calculated as per guidelines set by your organisation.

 What happens to the unused grants in my Zeta Fuel & Travel Card?

Note that all your reimbursement instruments get closed after every financial year end (effective 20th March'18) and the following settlements are done for any outstanding balance in your cards and the amount stuck in your holding account:

  1. Any remaining amount can either be transferred in full to your Cash Card and appropriate tax deductions can be made while processing payroll or the remaining amount could be recalled and credited as part of your payroll, after making appropriate deductions, as per your company's policy.
  2. Any claim uploaded and approved but the amount not reimbursed into the cash card due to non-compliance with the KYC or PPI limit is paid to you as a part of your monthly salary with no tax deductions.

 Is Zeta Fuel & Travel Card legally compliant?

 What is the validity for Zeta Fuel & Travel Card?

The Zeta Fuel & Travel Card don’t expire unless specified by your organisation.

 What documents are required to claim fuel & travel reimbursement?

You need to submit a copy of RC (Registration Certificate) book of your vehicle as proof to apply for fuel & travel reimbursement.

 Is there any limit on the number of vehicle for which I can claim?

No. You can claim for more than one vehicle, provided they are registered in your name.

Usage

 How can I claim reimbursements on Fuel & Travel expenses?
  1. Receive a Zeta fuel & travel card from your HR. The card appears at the bottom of home screen in your Zeta app.
  2. Use the super card to recharge fuel at any fuel merchant or pay for your business travel needs.
  3. Upload the valid and legible fuel and travel bill for approval using the Zeta app.
 How can I pay for Fuel & Travel expenses via Zeta?

You can pay fuel and travel related expenses to both Zeta-affiliated and non-affiliated fuel merchants using the Zeta super card. To know more, refer to Pay for Fuel & Travel expenses.

 Can the payment be routed to the driver directly?

No. It is your responsibility to pay the driver.

 What happens to unused claim in Zeta Fuel & Travel Card?

Any unclaimed amount in the fuel & travel card in a fiscal year would be treated as a taxable component. In this case, you receive the amount after the tax deduction.

 Do I get notifications about usage of Zeta Fuel & Travel Card?

Yes. Zeta platform supports the following notifications:

  1. SMS Notifications - Notifications triggered to your registered mobile number.
  2. Inbox (In-App) Notifications - Notifications under Inbox tab in your Zeta app.
  3. Email Notifications - Notifications directed to your registered email ID.
  4. Push Notifications - Notifications triggered by your app to notify the app user.

Bill Submission

 How do I upload my bills?
  1. Open the Zeta app and locate Fuel & Travel Card.
  2. Click on the Upload Bill option.
  3. Click photos or upload pictures of the bills.
  4. Submit your claim.

 Can I upload a bill from the last financial year?

No. Only bills from the current financial year will be accepted.

 Can I upload multiple bills at a time?

Yes. Zeta provides both multiple bill upload and lengthy bill upload features. For more details, refer to submitting fuel & travel bills.

 Do I need to keep a physical copy of the bill?

You need not keep a physical copy of bills unless your company wants you to do so.
